Hey everyone! So this is my first semester
working for Visions and I am so excited about having the opportunity to work
with everyone here! Since this is my first time working with Visions, I am
still trying to get acclimated with the process. After reviewing my new job
position, I have found that it is really important for me to understand the
whole process so that I can plan accordingly. I understand that part of my job
description is to create and manage the department’s weekly and monthly
calendar.
After attending four meetings (one joint
meeting with the Programming/Traffic Department and the Operations Department),
I feel I have a much better understanding of what needs to be done this
semester. After discussing it with my department, we have found that it would
be best if we had our own to do list that is separated into two parts: a weekly
to do list and a “looking ahead” to do list, which lists tasks that we still
need to keep in mind and for which to prepare. Right now, and I am planning for
the upcoming meeting (1/24) with Sandra Jackson and I am also trying to figure
out the smaller tasks that I need to plan for in the next couple of weeks.
